Just a Reminder...
Just a reminder that since we are on the final two weeks of our league year, only pre-assigned alternates will be allowed to bowl on your team if you have a missing bowler for the weeks of 5/3 and 5/17. No other substitute bowlers are allowed because these are the last two final position rounds!

Sweetheart Invitational Tournament

SBL, I would like to invite anyone in the league to participate in the tournament. Bowling occurs on Sat Feb 14 and Sun Feb 15 with the award banquet on Sun eve, scheduled to be done by 9 PM. It is a 2 hour drive from NYC. The hotel room is $99 plus tax for up to 4 people in a room. Teams are composed of 4 people, and doubles partners have to be on the same team. You bowl 6 games on Saturday (singles and doubles) and 3 games on Sunday (team). The registration fee is $105, which includes the bowling, banquet and prize fund contribution. Prizes are awarded based on handi-capped score, so your average isn't much of a factor--it is how well you bowl over your average that is the key! I am looking to organize both teams and drivers and people willing to share a hotel room. The application and the hotel room must be submitted and reserved by February 1st! Please let me know by responding to sundaybowling@gmail.com or calling/texting me at 716-863-0036. If anyone is going already and can offer ride space, please let me know. IGBO Mail In Tournament

Anyone interested in participating in the IGBO "Mail In Tournament", please make sure you download the entry form either by clicking here or by going to the downloads page on the website. The tournament will take place during 2 consecutive weeks from January 18, 2009 – February 7, 2009. For example, if your league bowls on Mondays, you would choose either Monday, January 19th and Monday, January 26th or Monday, January 26th and Monday, February 2nd as your tournament dates. Please fill out whatever information you need to supply and return to Ellen Aronoff with payment.

Team Captains:
Please make sure that your recap sheets are completely filled out after each game played. Leisure Time Bowl does not keep old score records, so it is impossible to retrieve them if you have not filled them out the night you bowl.

Important League Information
As the bowling season kicks off this year on September 7th with our "No Tap Bowl", we are going to have two very important meetings directly preceding the night's bowling.
At 7:00pm on 9/07/08, we are asking ALL CAPTAINS to group in the lounge reception area of Leisure Time to go over some of the new policies for this year. Here, we will distribute the Team Roster Sheets so that you can sign up everyone on your team. This should last approximately 30 minutes.
Directly following the captain's meeting, at 7:30pm, we will be hosting a "Welcome To SBL" session for ALL NEW BOWLERS and people interested in joining the league. We encourage all newcomers to SBL to attend this meeting so we will be able to go over league rules and general league etiquette. We have had a great amount of interest in the league this year and we would like to welcome you to our league appropriately. Please make every effort to be at this meeting.
